The Isla double halo engagement ring frames a claw-set lab-grown alexandrite within two tiers of graduated round diamonds arranged in a sunburst pattern, tapering outward from the centre stone for extra brilliance and a fuller silhouette. The polished shank is left plain, keeping every bit of sparkle in the sunburst halo rather than competing with it further down the finger.
Isla — from the Scottish Gaelic for ‘island’ — suits a ring that makes its statement through scale and shine rather than added detail elsewhere on the band. The double tier of diamonds gives real extra brilliance and a noticeably fuller look to the centre stone, while the plain shank keeps the design clean and comfortable to wear every day. Designed in our Perth studio and hand-finished before setting, it reads as bold but uncluttered.
This piece is set with a lab-grown alexandrite, which shifts from teal to grey-green in daylight to a purplish-pink or mauve under incandescent light, with a hardness of 8.5 on the Mohs scale. IGI certified (GIA certification available on some stones).
